In the fall of 1888, Vincent van Gogh and Paul Gauguin lived together in the south of France for 9 weeks. The result was one of the most astonishing outpourings of masterpieces in history. And then they quarreled. Despondent, Vincent cut off his ear and delivered it to a local prostitute.
In this 7 night workshop, you will stay just steps from the square where they lived. You will paint the same scenes in the exact locations. Our "wild painting" instructor, Jan van Boeckel, will lead you through original texts and memoirs as we follow Vincent and Guaguin's wild ride, and try to capture their passion on canvas. All levels welcome (including beginners!)
